PEARLNC

PEARLNC

The Personal Economic Aid Resource Links in North Carolina (PEARLNC) website was created for residents in need of government services related to personal finance, health and medical, nutrition, careers, transportation, and housing assistance. As our state, and indeed the nation, struggles with an economic crisis not seen since the Great Depression, services to support North Carolina's residents are especially crucial. Many of the services identified on this site are free or are provided at reduced cost to support individuals and families struggling to make ends meet. While this site identifies many state and federal government resources available to the residents of North Carolina, there are other resources that may also be useful in these challenging times. Be sure to check with your public library for information about other resources for which you and your family might qualify.

Wildcats Never Quit: North Carolina in World War I

A virtual collection using selected World War I materials from the North Carolina State Archives, the State Library of North Carolina, and the North Carolina Museum of History, including printed books and documents, letters, diaries, photographs, and artifacts. By uniting these varied resources in cohesive and searchable formats, this project makes it easier for the K-12 community to bring original resource materials into the classroom and to assist scholars of the World War I time period.
